Mom is *not* flying back to New Orleans on Monday as originally planned, for one thing. She's gonna try to fly in Tuesday--her car's in NOLA so she can't go elsewhere--because the storm will be past by then, although there's no telling how much water the city will be under.
Donny's minding the house and the pets--he'll either stay with them at our house or take them to his house. So they'll be fine. (Hope your kitty isn't too scared by the weather!)
And I'm watching the weather radar from two thousand miles away A-GODDAMNED-GAIN. Just like I said I never wanted to do after Ivan. At least I have Mom here with me to SHARE my pain. (And the projected path isn't being drawn right over my house. That's much better.)
She's a wicked-ass Cat 4, though, and looks like could well make a 5 and slaughter New Orleans. I hope Tulane weathers it all right, and that you'll be able to move in without too much delay!
